Overview
Parc Mosaic, a residential community in Boulder, was inspired by the custom trail signage Zach had designed for Valmont Bike Park. Looking to elevate their own amenity spaces, they reached out to commission a cycling-focused installation for their bike room—something both beautiful and useful, that celebrated Boulder’s vibrant riding culture.

The final result is a custom-built wall installation featuring two large-scale maps—a Boulder system map and a detailed city map—both color-coded and printed on acrylic. Floating above a textured, sculptural backdrop, these centerpiece maps are paired with route-specific vignettes that guide residents toward some of Boulder’s best road and gravel rides.

The Vision

As a hub for active residents, Parc Mosaic wanted their bike room to feel more than just functional—they envisioned a space that could spark exploration, build community, and showcase Boulder’s outdoor lifestyle.

Rather than off-the-shelf art, they wanted something truly unique: a map system that offered practical guidance for daily rides, but also functioned as an architectural statement that reflected the community’s values of wellness, mobility, and connection to place. The installation needed to feel polished and permanent, built to complement the refined interior of their high-end facility

Crafted for interaction: residents stop to trace routes, plan rides, and engage with the space like a communal guidepost.
